The type of information generally collected by the ANMFSA generally includes your name, address, telephone number, email address, category of employment, for example registered nurse, midwife etc, type and general location of employment, for example private or public health sector and remote, regional or urban location and the speciality members work in. This information is collected in order for the ANMFSA to tailor services and activities and in order that we may meet the needs of our members and effectively represent members. It also enables the ANMFSA to develop CPD activities that meet the needs of our members. Our goal is to ensure that your personal information is accurate, complete and up to date. To assist us with this, please go to 'My Account' and update your details when necessary.

What other information is collected?

When you look at our website, our internet service provider (ISP) makes a record of your visit. The following information is logged for statistical purposes:

  • Your top-level domain name (for example .com, .gov, .au, etc);
  • The date and time of your visit to the site;
  • The pages you accessed and documents downloaded;

Is the personal information collected confidential?

Yes. We do not use or disclose your personal information to any third party unless required to do so by law, or as part of direct member service provision or unless you provide your consent.

Your email address is recorded and used only for the purpose of providing you with the services you are entitled to as a member of the ANMFSA. If I provide the ANMFSA with information such as my email address will I, as a result, receive unsolicited emails and advertising material?

The ANMFSA provides members with regular updates on services, issues of concern, interest or relevance to our members and to alert members to upcoming events. Under no circumstances will the ANMFSA add your email address to a third party mailing list or provide your email address to a third party without your consent being obtained unless this is required by law.

Users should be aware that while the ANMFSA will endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personally identifiable information from misuse, loss or alteration, there are inherent risks in transmitting information across the internet.

Does the ANMFSA use cookies?

Yes, but only session-based to ensure the security of information and users.
